The Editorial Team of the “Philosophical Education” journal is honored to invite you to the webinar continuing the series of online meetings that will serve to present the upcoming issues and some of the particular articles to the wider public.

This second webinar of the series will be devoted to the upcoming thematic issue analyzing the topic of philosophical education in the famous Lvov-Warsaw Philosophical School (LWS) according to its leading figures of prof. Kazimierz Twardowski and prof. Izydora Dąmbska.

The schedule of the webinar and the topics of presentations:

  • Introduction to the issue – the explanation of the significance of Lvov-Warsaw School in Polish philosophy and philosophical education (prof. Anna Brożek)
  • The presentation of the memories of Lvov-Warsaw School members on Kazimierz Twardowski and Izydora Dąmbska (mgr Krzysztof Nowicki)
  • The presentation of the article “The Most Important Task” and “Great Personal Value”: The Role of Teaching and Upbringing in the Activities of Izydora Dąmbska (Krzysztof Andrulonis)
  • The presentation of historical texts of Kazimierz Twardowski – Memorial of Polish Philosophical Society in Lvov on the Guidelines of the Curriculum of Propedeutics of Philosophy in High Schools and Draft of High School Curriculum for Teaching Propedeutics of Philosophy (mgr Ewelina Grądzka)
