Main Tasks
- awarding doctoral and postdoctoral degrees,
- ensuring a high level of research activity in a given discipline at the University of Warsaw (establishing criteria for assessing the scientific achievements of employees and coordinating activities related to the evaluation of a given discipline, assessing the level of the discipline in relation to international standards, indicating the criteria that employees must meet in order to be appointed to the council by the Rector),
- ensuring that education at the university is based on the latest research results (participation in appointing teaching councils),
- ensuring that the process of employing academic teachers is based on high substantive requirements (sending representatives to competition committees and employment committees, participating in the periodic assessment of academic teachers).
