Inauguration of the academic year 2023/2024

Next Friday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m., the ceremonial inauguration of the academic year at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Warsaw will begin in room B in the Auditorium Maximum. The ceremony will be attended by His Rector, Prof. Alojzy Nowak. It will be broadcast on our YouTube channel (link below).

The ceremony will begin with everyone gathered singing the Polish National Anthem. After the opening, the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, will give a speech. Next, first-year students will take an oath, after which the gathered audience will listen to the Gaude Mater Polonia song. In the next part of the ceremony, prof. Ph.D. Cezary Cieśliński will deliver the inaugural lecture entitled: “What philosophy?” At the end, the audience will sing the student anthem Gaudeamus igitur.

The Dean’s Team invites all students, PhD students and employees of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Warsaw to participate in this event, and those who cannot come – to watch the broadcast.
