We are in the World Top 150 in the QS Ranking for Philosophy
We are proud to announce that the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Warsaw has been ranked among the top 150 philosophy departments in the world in the prestigious QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) ranking. This is a huge achievement of our students, doctoral candidates, alumni, researchers, lecturers, and administrative staff. We are delighted that our collective work has been recognized. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this success.
The QS Ranking is currently one of the most respected university rankings in the world. In assessing our institution, the ranking’s creators considered, among other factors:
- our academic reputation (based on surveys completed by scientists from around the world),
- reputation among employers who evaluate our graduates,
- citations of our publications and our research productivity,
- international collaboration and participation in research networks.
Based on this assessment, we were ranked among institutions ranked 101-150 (without specifying specific positions), along with the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, the renowned Trinity College in Dublin, and other excellent departments from universities such as the oldest universities in the world, the University of Bologna and the University of Padua, as well as CUNY, City College of New York, the University of British Columbia in Canada, La Sapienza in Rome, Duke University in Durham, and universities in: Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Ghent, Stockholm, Uppsala, Helsinki, Lisbon, Leiden, Exeter, and others.
