Three Lectures by Dr Zuzana Rybaříková (January 8-10, 2024)

We invite everybody to take part in the lectures by Dr Zuzana Rybaříková from the University of Ostrava, to be held on January 8-10, 2024 at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Warsaw. Dr Rybaříková will speak about women in Czech Logic and Philosophy, on Janina Hosiasson and Jan Łukasiewicz. See the schedule below.

Dr Zuzana Rybaříkova will give the following lectures:

  • Jan 8 (Wednesday), 18:30: Women in Czech Logic and Philosophy (room 118 – Reading Room – Faculty of Philosophy, Krakowskie Przedmieście 3),
  • Jan 9 (Thursday), 11:30: Janina Hosiasson on Inductive Reasoning (room 205 – Old Library Building, Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28),
  • Jan 10 (Thursday), 13:15: Łukasiewicz’s Concept of Anti-Psychologism (room 207 – Faculty of Philosophy, Krakowskie Przedmieście 3).

Zuzana Rybaříková (*1987) studied philosophy and history at Palacký University in Olomouc, the Czech Republic. She finished her PhD in 2016 with the dissertation The Reconstruction of Arthur Prior’s Ontology. Then she worked at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, University of Hradec Králové and Palacký University as a postdoc researcher. Currently, she is an assistant professor at the University of Ostrava. She obtained the Visegrad Scholarship and spent two semesters at the University of Warsaw, where she worked on a Czech book on logic in the Lvov-Warsaw School Úvod do logiky Lvovsko-varšavské školy [An Introduction to Logic of the Lvov-Warsaw School]. Recently, she was awarded by “Research in Poland” scholarship of the Mieroszewski Center for research in Warsaw from 1st February to 30th April 2025.
