ABSTRACT:
There are, we argue, good reasons to be pluralists about the metasemantics of context-sensitive terms. Here, we consider whether that means that we should be pluralists about the semantics of such terms as well. After sketching what we take this to mean, we argue that the answer is 'no’. Meta-semantic pluralism can, we argue, is an equally-good way of accounting for some of the motivations which have led philosophers to embrace semantic pluralism, but in a neater package.
