Biogram gościni:

Alicja Gescinska is a Polish-Belgian philosopher, novelist, playwright and poet. She obtained her PhD at Ghent University, with a dissertation on the concepts of freedom, personhood and moral agency in personalist philosophy. As an academic, she then worked at Princeton University, Amherst College, KU Leuven, Free University of Brussels, and was the Director of the Philosophy by Research Programme at the University of Buckingham from 2019-2024. Her main areas of expertise are political theory, continental philosophy, and the history of ideas. Apart from her academic work, Gescinska is a leading public intellectual and critically acclaimed author in Belgium and the Netherlands. In 2022 she became president of PEN Flanders, the Flemish division of PEN International. In recognition of her contribution to literature, philosophy and the public debate, she received the title of Commander of the Order of King Leopold by the Belgian Royal House. Work of her has been translated to several languages, including Spanish, Catalan, Polish and German.
