Abstrakt:

The modern social and democratic states face numerous difficulties, especially in the aftermath of the Covid-19 crisis, during which some states and governments began to view Covid regulations and health-related concerns as secondary to wealth creation. After the most recent growth of international world-society, particularly in connection to the social welfare states, the importance of the distribution of social goods and distributive justice in general had been the central issue. The institutional underpinning of social welfare states primarily ensures the supply of basic goods for all people.  However, does this imply that the equitable distribution of social goods is the final determination of justice, which is the very cornerstone of every societal institution? 

The philosophical system of Axel Honneth and his theory of Recognition, following the dialectical philosophical theory of G.W.F. Hegel, proposes the new understanding of the concept of recognition as a most possible way of rethinking the conceptions of justice in a philosophical manner. Recognition (Anerkennung) is an institutional form of understanding freedom and the way in which the freedom is exercised in the society. This concept of recognition aims to ensure the broadest understanding of freedom in societal functioning, which could be formulated as an equal socialization of every societal group to ensure a life worthy of human dignity and every member of society. Rather than reducing itself to the minimal forms of freedom’s realization, this concept of recognition aims to summarize the fundamental presuppositions of the functioning of societal institutions and norms.

Pani Mariam Khazaradze z Gruzińskiego Uniwersytetu Technicznego posiada tytuły magistra filozofii i socjologii. Obecnie kończy pracę nad rozprawą doktorską dotyczącą idei wolności i uznania u Hegla. Przetłumaczyła na język gruziński „Zasady filozofii prawa” Hegla oraz „Antropologię w ujęciu pragmatycznym” Kanta. W ramach współpracy z prof. Mamuką Beriashvilim, który jest szefem projektu przekładu na język gruziński klasycznych tekstów z zakresu filozofii niemieckiej, jest redaktorką i edytorką książek naukowych dotyczących przede wszystkim niemieckiego idealizmu.
